Today’s Feature “In Studio Painting” is Shenandoah Study #1. This painting is from a series of 11″x14″ canvas studies of Shenandoah National Park in Virginia. I was lucky enough to drive through this amazing park at the same time a storm was breaking up, the views of the skies and valleys were truly amazing. Each study is done in oil and explores the fading blues and greens of the landscape with the shadows of the clouds that are passing overhead.
