Coming Soon…Visceral Murmurs

It has been a while since I’ve posted on the Wirrly Works blog and I was so excited to see the new interface on Blogger that I just couldn’t resist bringing this blog back to life.
So, what’s been happening? Well, I am hard at work in the studio creating a brand new series for an upcoming exhibit. This has been the most artistically productive year I have had in a while.
I am not quite ready to start blogging about the new paintings but what I can share is the information about the exhibit:
Visceral Murmers works by Scott Erb, Brian Burris and Cynthia Woehrle on view at the Fruitlands Museum  from August 19, 2012-October 31, 2012.
Mark your calendars and I promise pictures are coming soon!!!!

The Sun Sets

The Setting Sun by George Gabin (image source: Chase young Gallery)
Last night the sun set with out you in the world.
Your warmth and glow inspired the lives you touched
The colors of your light left behind
on canvas and in our hearts
carry on to share a vision
to a new generation of hopeful dreamers
Thank you George for all that you gave to the world.
An artist, a teacher, a friend, a mentor.
Much Love and Affection,
Cindy

PechaKucha Night FAQ # 9 of 20

09. What makes a good PechaKucha?
Good PechaKucha presentation are the ones that uncover the unexpected, unexpected talent, unexpected ideas. Some PechaKuchas tell great stories about a project or a trip. Some are incredibly personal, some are incredibly funny, but all are very different making each PechaKucha Night like ‘a box of chocolates’.
